Overview
Facilitate a safe working environment to produce a quality painted product
Responsibilities
- Attend daily / weekly meetings as required
- Responsible for problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making to troubleshoot the paint process when needed.
- Manage, evaluate, and train employees by coaching, teaching, aiding and being an effective mentor in the painting process.
- Facilitate effective communication between all crews to establish a safe working environment to produce and deliver quality painted material on time to end customer.
- Process development and operating practice improvements for cost savings.
- Interfacing with Sales and Customers on operational issues / new product applications and expedite orders as needed.
- Work with maintenance on special projects and programs to ensure that the line is being maintained properly.
Qualifications
Required :
- Proven record of accomplishment as a leader regarding safety
- Excellent communication skills and experience
- Good leadership skills and experience
- Experience with elevated levels of responsibility and decision making
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Must be self-motivated and possess a powerful desire for continuous improvement
Preferred :
- Engineering degree and / or extensive galvanizing / paint process experience
- Technical project experience
- Strong computer skills
