The Buyer, oversees procurement/buying, including sourcing, negotiating, forecasting, Inventory management, purchase order management, vendor management and schedule of on time delivery. They provide ongoing support to Project Managers for the successful completion of building envelope projects. They utilizes planning and communication skills to work closely with Project Managers and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities:
- Communicate with internal Stake Holders - understand Project Manager purchasing needs and requirements.
- Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies- Identify potential building envelope material suppliers and conduct thorough evaluations to determine the best sourcing options. Create sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve quality and delivery performance.
- Negotiate Contracts and Terms - Strong negotiation skills with a focus on bridge-building tactics with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Manage Relationships - Service oriented, with a sense of persistence and tolerance, working with our outside vendor partners and internal work groups.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments - anticipate supply chain issues and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance - with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
- Purchasing/Inventory Software & Performance Metrics – utilize procurement tools and systems to track and report key metrics and performance indicators.
Requirements of the job:
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, supply Chain Management or directly related experience
- 3 years of experience reviewing cost proposals and pricing information.
- 5 years of experience preparing and administering contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors.
- 5 years of experience evaluating vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met.
- Well organized problem solver, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory control software
- Strong attention to detail
