Position Description:

  • Client is rearchitecting on-prem legacy Data warehouse platforms and moving to a Unified, Modern, Scalable & Secure Data Platform on Google Cloud.
  • As a Solution Architect for Data analytics, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements and defining technical architecture-based solutions.
  • Works with Product teams to define, assemble and integrate components based on Client standards and business requirements (examples: hardware, software, availability, scalability, and reliability).
  • Develops and communicates Architecture design for new products/features. Supports the Product team in the development of the technical design and documentation.
  • Provides support such as troubleshooting to application performance issues. Participate in vendor solution evaluation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work involves migrating data from legacy on-prem warehouses to Google cloud data platform and sunset of legacy platforms while driving business adoption of the new platform.


  • Skills Required:

  • Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.
  • Strong Cloud data analytics solution/application architecture experience, Design/Development of data products, with a deep understanding of cloud hosting concepts and associated implementations.
  • Deep technical subject matter expertise in Data Warehouse, Data lakes, Data domains, Data models, ETL processes, ML ops and reporting. Recent and practical experience in cloud analytics space preferably using Google cloud services.
  • Practical experience in understanding business requirements and applying architecture principals and standards to design technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of enterprise frameworks and technologies, supporting architecture and design patterns. Experience with enterprise architecture tools and processes (CBID, Tech 07, EAA, HIR, etc.). Expertise in secure interoperability standards and methods.
  • Experience across the full application and system development lifecycle. Experience in data management and Cloud data platforms. Ability to work collaboratively with Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to work in fast paced and dynamic environment. Attention to details and passion/pride in producing Quality deliverables.
  • Skills Preferred:

  • Good understanding of cloud security best practices and be familiar with different security tools and techniques like Identity and Access Management (IAM), Encryption, Network Security, etc. Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding on DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), automated testing & deployment pipelines. Strong drive for results and ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Self-starter with proven innovation skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and all levels of management. Demonstrated ability to document complex systems. Identify, develop, evaluate, and conduct poc's.
  • Experience Required:

  • 10 years of relevant work experience in analytics application and data architecture, with deep understanding of cloud hosting concepts and implementations.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in application architecture, traditional and cloud data warehouse environment, with hands on programming experience building data pipelines on cloud in a highly distributed and fault-tolerant manner.
  • Hands-on GCP experience with a minimum of 1 solution designed and implemented at production scale.
  • Experience with large scale solutioning and operationalization of data warehouses, data lakes and analytics platforms on Cloud (GCP preferred).
  • Looking for candidates who have a broad set of technology skills across cloud and tradition data lake, data warehouse areas.
  • Someone who can demonstrate an ability to design right solutions leveraging on-prem, cloud and 3rd party offerings.
  • In-depth understanding of Google's product technology and underlying architectures.
  • Work with data team to analyze data, build models and integrate massive datasets from multiple data sources.
  • Experience working in following technologies: Cloud analytics technologies (GCP preferred) - Big Query, Dataflow, Data form, pub/sub, Kafka, Cloud run, cloud functions, Dataplex , GCS, Cloud SQL, Dataproc, Airflow, Compute Engine, Cloud functions and App engine. Familiarity with Teradata, Data stage, Informatica tools (EDC, Axon, IDQ, MDM, power center), Hadoop and mainframe platforms.

    Experience Preferred:

  • Experience in migrating legacy analytics applications to Cloud platform and business adoption of these platforms to build insights and dashboards through deep knowledge of traditional and cloud Data Lake, Warehouse and Mart concepts.
  • Architecting and implementing next generation data and analytics platforms on GCP cloud Experience in building solution architecture, provision infrastructure, secure and reliable data-centric services.
  • Experience with designing, building, and deploying ML models to solve business challenges using Python/BQML/Vertex AI on GCP.
  • Good understanding of linear regression and experience with credit risk modeling a plus.
  • Experience with development eco-system such as Git, Jenkins and CICD. Experience in working with Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Team player and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of domain driven design and data mesh principles.
