Position Summary:
The Spa Manager assists the Director to ensure the efficient operation of the facility in accordance with local, state and federal health and cleanliness standards. Participates in sales, marketing, merchandising, conducting inventory and recording and tracking financial statistics. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.
Essential Functions:
- Maintaining and ensuring all team members are delivering 5 Star Service and following the Stein Way.
- Assist with all Spa operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, product quality and innovation, inventory management and cost controls, systems use and management, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation.
- Assist the Spa Director to promote spa services to maximize overall revenue through marketing efforts and up-selling techniques.
- Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly. Consistently operating with a sense of urgency and discipline.
- Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
- Recruit and interview new team members.
- Monitor scheduling for all service provider staff to ensure appropriate coverage based on business levels.
- Ensure team members have current knowledge of spa products, services, facilities, events and pricing and policies.
- Provides assistance to Lead Therapist with inventory training, supply, and control policy and procedures for professional backbar.
- Provides assistance with Payroll, including gratuity and incentive payouts.
- Participate and contribute to daily shift meetings delivered by Spa Leadership.
- Resolve guest issues and concerns to guest satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Minimum 2 years spa experience working in a customer-oriented environment.
- Book4Time knowledge preferred.
- Responsible, dependable and team player.
- Must be self motivated and have strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
