What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Liason position at Stein Hospice?
The Martin and Edith Stein Hospice, an agency of The Oscar and Ella Wilf Campus for Senior Living, is currently seeking a Full Time Community Liaison to join our team. Stein Hospice is an out-patient hospice dedicated to quality assurance with an emphasis on a strong foundation of family, community, long-term commitment, and entrepreneurial spirit.
In this role you will have the opportunity to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and referral sources throughout Central New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees implementation of business development initiatives on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinates with the hospice staff, marketing, design and content teams to generate digital and print advertising/promotional materials and events.
- Employs marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.
- Initiates and maintains in-service compliancy with residential referral sources by offering digital and print educational materials.
- Works to build community, customer, and patient perceptions of Stein Hospice as a high-quality provider of services.
- Participates in community and organizational programs, making presentations and networking to facilitate broader knowledge of Stein Hospice services and philosophy.
- Provides input into strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
- Maintains existing relationships and seeks to establish new relationships with referral sources, such as medical professionals, nursing home and assisted living facilities and community service organizations.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in Marketing, Business Development and Administration, or related field.
- At least one (1) year experience in health care marketing, preferably in hospice care or other post-acute operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary group of professional and administrative personnel.
- Ability to market consistently and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
- Ability to implement account and territory management techniques.
- Utilize a structured sales philosophy or program as determined by management.
- Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
- Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
- Must be Passionate about Palliative and End of Life care.
- Must be willing to attend some weekend, early morning events and evening events as needed.
