What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hygienist position at Stella Maris?
The Dental Hygienist in this position shall efficiently provide duties related to dental hygiene in a busy sometimes hectic office. Includes the ability to educate the patient in proper home care instructions of oral hygiene. Includes review of health history and accurately records measurements of periodontic charting. Must be proficient in scaling and the removal of acretious deposits, stains, etc. Must Possess the ability to expose and develop x-rays, place sealants, fluoride treatments and acid etching. Must be willing to perform job standards and provide excellent customer service to staff, patients and visitors in a manner consistent with Mercy Medical Centers' Service Excellence Standards, Mission and Values.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
● Must possess a high school diploma or GED
● Must possess an Associate of Science Degree
License Requirements:
● Dental Hygiene/Dental Radiation
