Summary: Evaluates the performance of and provides coaching and feedback to Credit Analysts and Credit Managers. Reviews recommendations for, or issue approvals and exceptions. Monitors working queues and reports to ensure Credit decisions are issued and contracts are funded within established service level parameters. Coordinates training with Credit Analysts, Dealer Relationship Managers and Credit Management to provide superior customer service to our dealership customer. Responsible for managing team member production, work quality, Training programs, audit quality, service levels, Credit and Funding decisions outside of policy. Handles conflict as it relates to internal customers, and dealers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitors and reviews work of Credit Analysts including credit decisions and dealer calls and provides feedback and training as needed
- Observes daily work queues and sets priorities relative to phone calls and production to ensure optimal service levels and turnaround times are achieved.
- Applies credit policies in accordance with FCRA across multiple product lines for various loan types.
- Makes outbound and handles inbound calls to negotiate final terms of contracts with both our dealer customer and the Dealer Relationship Manager.
- Ensures the achievement of all funding objectives including volume, turn time, portfolio performance, legal and procedural compliance
- Responsible for maintaining adherence to all Federal and state regulatory issues regarding indirect lending.
- Evaluate performance versus established metrics and identify operational deficiencies and implement plans to improve operational effectiveness
- Accurately and effectively communicates with underwriting, Funding and marketing personnel and management
- Provide leadership, support and motivation to both credit and funding teams
- Reviews exception deals and makes decisions in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Develops, coordinates and supports training activities and staff development in accordance with Stellantis Financial Services US policies. Maintains procedural manuals
- Implements and monitors necessary reports to ensure production and quality goals are achieved
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
Additional Responsibilities Perform the above-referenced essential duties and responsibilities as well as assist in directing the work of employees assigned to the department by leading and overseeing their day to day activities and work schedules and by providing work-related guidance in accordance with the Companys policies and procedures. Although this position shall provide the authority to lead, oversee and direct the day-to-day work of assigned employees and to report work assessments to management, it shall not provide the authority to take the following actions: hire an employee, fire an employee, promote or demote an employee, discipline an employee in a formal manner, reassign an employee, or alter benefits of an employee. All such decisions shall be made by the responsible senior manager(s) in consultation with the Human Resources Department.

Education and/or Experience The knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED); 3 years of auto finance industry with experience with a minimum of 1 year as a Credit Manager or Loan Processing Manager or similar position.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as credit policies and company policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.
Reasoning Ability Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of MS Power Point software, MS Excel software and MS Word software.
