Job Summary:
SIS is seeking a talented individual to immediately join our Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Business Group as a VTC Technician and Lead Installer in Warner Robins, Georgia. In this role, you will perform site surveys and work as part of a team to develop room designs that meet customer requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Tier II-III level resolution, perform system and component troubleshooting, serve as the liaison for manufacturer warranty coverage, and provide VTC and AV related customer support.
Job Duties:
- Provide project coordination, to include scheduling and attending meetings with clients and their technical representatives.
- Responsible for project scheduling and system implementation.
- Perform site surveys of new and existing spaces.
- Work with lead systems engineer to develop room designs, drawings, and functional interconnection diagrams.
- Install VTC-related AV equipment to include displays (e.g., TVs, projectors, display panels), sound control systems, video codecs, and related components and cabling in accordance with DISA-approved system configurations.
- Configure VTC/AV systems, multimedia devices and peripheral equipment as needed.
- Adhere to component and cable labeling requirements.
- Provide on-site maintenance.
- Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting.
- Use common tools to test equipment and network connectivity.
- Interact with local networking team to configure equipment, run new lines, and add network drops.
- Work with local engineering group to add outlets and perform power assessments.
- Travel could be involved at times - may be needed periodically at other locations.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with current VTC and AV equipment and technologies.
- Knowledge and experience with system design, control systems, and AV flows.
- Experience conducting site surveys for new room designs.
- Experience conducting site surveys to redesign existing spaces, to include integrating existing equipment where possible.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in combination with a team.
- Thorough working knowledge and experience of the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of video conferencing and audio-visual related technology.
- Self-directed and detailed-oriented.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Previous experience in a DoD environment is desired.
- Knowledge of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG) is a plus.
- Ability to lift or move up to 125 lbs.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
Education / Experience:
- CTS certification and any industry certifications a plus. Example: Polycom, Cisco, AMX, Crestron etc.
- Must be able to pass a criminal and credit background check. Will sponsor a Secret clearance for the right candidate.
- US citizenship is mandatory.
