Location: Administration Building
Working Shift: Day Shift
Hours & Work Days: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday; hours and shifts may depend on production.
Summary:
As the Procurement Supervisor, you are charged with evaluating purchases of various warehouse and office supplies following standardized purchasing procedures, and keeping inventory at required levels.
Responsibilities:
- Continual evaluation of what we purchase, who we purchase from, and why. Then make decisions based on service, spec and price.
- Interacting with Vendors. Keeping our supply programs running smoothly. Interacting with supervisors and plant managers. Solving problems when they arise. Work with plant managers to determine, order qtys. Min max levels and concerns.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain product or service information, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Select products for purchase by testing, observing, examining items, and consulting with appropriate department.
- Working on projects for the Procurement Department to better the department.
- Consolidate/align purchases for all departments.
- Verify that we use the correct items for the job.
This position can encompass other than the specified duties listed above. If necessary, alternative duties can be assigned at the discretion of the manager.

- Knowledge of grades and varieties of fruit.
- Understand Packing and Operations department’s processes and all possible combinations therein.
- Technical understanding of packing equipment and warehouse environment.
- Negotiation skills required.
- Accounting and math skills required.
- Detail oriented for accuracy while working under deadlines.
- Highly Organized.
- Ability to use spreadsheets and databases to analyze data.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Produce meaningful reports, charts, graphs, etc. for presentation from available data.
- Ability to problem solve, be flexible and maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Knowledge of proper filing methods of documents and records.
- Knowledge of customer service etiquette and office communication etiquette.
