Human Resources Manager - In office position

You will take ownership of all human resources activities and make an immediate impact through your expertise in recruiting, training and development, compliance, compensation and benefit programs, performance management, and employee relations. Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop and administer programs, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organization
- Coordinate compensation and benefits for employees
- Develop relationships and partner with operations departments to create employee training and development, including onboarding and ongoing personal and professional development opportunities
- Ensure the overall well-being, health, and safety of employees
- Oversee the talent sourcing, recruitment, and selection process
- Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Develop and maintain the organizational culture
- Manage and develop the human resources department
- Develop, recommend, implement, and monitor human resources-related policies, procedures, plans, programs, initiatives, and services
- Maintain current knowledge of laws and regulations related to human resources matters and assure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws such as ADA, FLSA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, Title VII, etc.
- Review and coordinate all disciplinary matters and internal investigations, leave administration, workers’ compensation, unemployment, etc.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or similar
- Minimum of eight years of previous HR experience
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
- Executive presence—polished, professional, and able to communicate with all levels of employees and executives
- Superb communication skills—in all formats, you are clear and concise
- Accountable- others can count on you
- Proven experience in leading recruiting efforts that attract and identify top talent
- Ability to organize effective company-wide training and development
- Expert knowledge of core HR technology
- Thoughtful, effective collaborator and negotiator
- Service-orientation—you approach your work with confidence but without ego
- Self-motivated to improve existing processes to support the organization’s growth strategy
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and manage through multiple and conflicting priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
