The Stephen Joseph Companies have been in business for 40 years and in the midst of record growth are looking to add a rockstar sales person who is hungry to grow with us!
We are a family company that creates fun, fresh and unique products that are sold around the world, comprised of three divisions including Julie Joe, a line of souvenir apparel and accessories, Stephen Joseph Gifts, a line children’s gift products and Karma Gifts, a home and women’s lifestyle brand.
Position Summary
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about relationships and building business, is unafraid to put themselves in unfamiliar situation and puts creativity at the forefront of their mind. This sales position is only successful when you have the ability to invest and foster genuine relationships with our buyers. Our goal is to make their retail locations successful and their buying experience easy and fun. A level of creativity goes a long way as you will be helping buyers plan their selling season. The ability to offer creative programs and suggestions for their stores is a huge plus! The person we are looking for will be sales-minded, enthusiastic and resourceful - with the customers' ultimate success in mind. Must be able to manage deadlines, prioritize in busy season and attend 3-5 trade shows per year. We need a mature team player who can participate and facilitate customer meetings. In addition, must be proactive, detail-oriented and self-motivated. Your ability to utilize, manage, and analyze sales data (spreadsheets) is important in order to be successful in this role. This position is based in our Lubbock, TX headquarters and the ideal candidate will live in or be willing to relocate to Lubbock.

Key Responsibilities
- Call assigned account customer list on regular basis to develop relationships and build sales including open and inactive accounts.
- Achieve all sales metrics set by sales manager.
- Attendance and coordination of trade shows as required.
- Prospect new business on a consistent basis to aid in total-company growth.
- Send weekly update to sales manager on all projects worked, key focus areas and weekly accomplishments.
- Communicate Sales Promotions.
- Order Tracking.
- Problem Resolution.
- Other duties as assigned
- Sales experience to retail mass markets and/or wholesale customers nationwide or sales experience within the gift and wholesale industry.
- Energetic, passionate, driven and successful.
- 5 years sales and/or management experience that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and success.
- High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to generate results.
- Ability to develop valuable relationships with customers.
- Problem solver with a 'Can Do’ attitude.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills
- Ability to manage, oversee, and organize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Love technology and be able to use and work within multiple sales platforms.
- Skilled in the use of Excel.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Must be a "Team" Player.
