What are the responsibilities and job description for the Used Auto Parts - Dismantler position at Stepp's Towing?
Stepp's Auto Salvage is looking for a few good mechanics at our San Antonio, FL salvage yard. We are seeking candidates that possess a positive attitude, customer service skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate must be able to do the following:
- Dismantle vehicles with safety, quality and productivity in mind always.
- Inspect, clean, label and tag parts to be sold, delivered, shipped or placed into stock.
- Work with others in a team environment to achieve individual and team goals.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements for the Position Include:
- Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing, significant physical strength and stamina, ability to work in less than ideal weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license and/or reliable means of transportation
- Must have hands-on automotive or like industry experience.
- Must have assorted automotive hand tools and the ability to store them.
- Basic understanding of environmental safety.
- Knowledge of tools required to dismantle cars and its parts, hand and air tools, and torches.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment required to handle, test and dismantle vehicles and parts are a plus but can train. Examples of tools and equipment. Car lifts, Heavy Forklifts, Cutting torches, Pallet jacks, liftgates, Car crushers, mini excavators and skid steers.
- The ability to learn processes, procedures and regulations through various methods. Examples are hands on training and online courses.
- Must be able to pass background check /drug test
- Possess great Customer Service/Communication Skills

Pay: $15.00- $20.00/hour (Pay is commensurate with prior experience) with bonus based on monthly sales
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm (Full Time Schedule)
