We have three behavioral health units, cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary: Per Diem Nursing Educator

Job Description:

The Nurse Educator sphere of clinical practice influences patient care, nurses’ competencies, nursing practice, and the development or organizational systems. In working with nurses, the Nurse Educator facilitates the development of the spirit of inquiry, critical thinking and skill synthesis and promotes nursing’s contribution to patient outcomes.

Essential Functions: 

The Nursing Educator promptly provides clinical support and serves as advisor, mentor and resource for nurse managers and staff. Observes staff and reviews documentation for learning opportunities related to standards of care and practice. Collaborates with Nurse Manager in assigning preceptors and evaluating preceptor performance. Assists in the active development and maintenance of education of the unit staff from orientation through annual competence.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred. Master’s Degree preferred.
  2. Experience: 2-5 years of current nursing experience preferred
  3. Certification/Licensure: Current RN licensure in Massachusetts,
    1.  BLS,
    2. ACLS.
  4. Other: Must be able to successfully clear a background check, including a criminal search.  Use or possession of a firearm and/or other weapons is prohibited.
