What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Advisor position at STG Auto Group?

Every service professional at STG Auto Group must excel in listening, communicating, and working efficiently to STG standards. Service Advisors assist guests with their vehicles and explain the benefit of maintaining their vehicle with STG recommendations.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner
  • Inspect vehicles and apply proper resources to accurately identify and verify guests’ service needs. Record them along with current vehicle and client information on the repair order.
  • Must be able to write clear and concise repair orders.
  • Repeat new vehicle sales by providing a premium After Sales experience for each client.
  • Refer to service history, inspect vehicle, and recommend service to clients. Promote the sales of appropriate services, parts, and accessories by thoroughly understanding the automotive product and associated service requirements.
  • Write and verify accurate repair orders and include supporting documentation.
  • Administer used vehicle warranty repairs in accordance with applicable service contract warranty specifications.
  • Ensure requested vehicle services are performed correctly upon completion by inspecting the vehicle prior to each service delivery.
  • Perform an Active Vehicle Delivery with client when work is completed.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of a variety of products and services via on-the-job training and participation in educational and development programs.

  • Technically knowledgeable, experienced, or trainable on various product lines
  • Strong People Skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Minimum 1 year auto dealership experience as a Service Advisor.
  • Positive Attitude a Must
  • Dealertrack DMS system knowledge a PLUS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
