Position Title: Financial Analyst
Exempt Status: Exempt
Accountable To: Director, Finance
Job Summary: The Financial Analyst supports the significant growth and expansion that the organization is experiencing. This role will be a critical contributor within FP&A providing insightful financial analysis, modeling, and reporting to support strategic decision – making. The successful candidate will possess strong modeling and analysis skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to convey results to various levels of Leadership. This role requires a strong foundation of financial principles and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Support the annual budgeting and forecast processes for assigned business units with a focus on accurate forecasting and variance analysis to provide business understanding and support decision-making
Conduct comprehensive analyses to help highlight current trends and performance metrics while identifying risks, opportunities, evaluating impact, and proposing changes to remediate gaps
Proactively engages stakeholders with a curious mindset to identify and root cause problems while effectively prioritizing urgency and relevance
Support organization planning cycles by building financial models, performing scenario analysis, and regularly assessing progress towards goals
Work collaboratively with business leaders to manage financial performance and drive continuous improvement
Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Create and update presentations used to communicate financial insights to senior leadership
All other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Abilities:
Experience in corporate finance and analytics
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels and influence key stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the capacity to convey complex issues clearly
Highly motivated, innovative, and strategic thinker able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
Education & Experience
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with strong technical skills and proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint
Experience in corporate finance and analytics
Minimum of 5 years as a Financial Analyst or similar role
Preferred experience with Planful, SQL, AS400, Microsoft Nav
Experience in Power BI a plus, but not a must
