The Director of Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) will lead and provide strategic direction in the areas of planning, exercising and all other business continuation initiatives for business continuity and disaster recovery. The Director will provide leadership and strategy for managing the overall BC/DR Programs by partnering with all Stifel Business Units and departments to identify business impacts, recovery time objectives/recovery point objectives and facilitate the preparation of documentation to support the continuation of mission critical business functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct the Business Contingency Program (BCP) with a major focus on assuring the adequacy of Business Unit BCPs and IT Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) for critical areas, functions, the network and applications by working in partnership with all departments.-
Manage the Business Continuity Program and coordinate all aspects of its design including reports, policies, plans, templates, presentations, and tools.

Facilitate crisis management activities, and prepare crisis management plans and procedures for disasters (in conjunction with other business leads).

Conduct Business Impact Analyses to determine the organization’s critical functions, applications, and dependencies, and coordinates these requirements with IT for Disaster Recovery Planning.

Schedule, attend, coordinate and conduct planned exercises: Document problems, Assign problem resolution to individual(s). Analyze findings and determine risks and deficiencies. Monitor remediation efforts for internal control breakdowns completed by 1) Control enhancements to remediate gaps; 2) monitor remediation efforts and provide guidance and assistance; 3) Ensure audit and exercise remediation information is properly maintained.

Work in partnership with critical functions to review vendor intake forms, determine risk profiles and escalate accordingly.

Facilitate quarterly meetings of Business Continuity Disaster Recovery and participate in BURM and ORC meetings, providing leadership updates and requests as appropriate. Prepare quarterly board reports.

Conduct business impact analyses, risk assessments, recommend risk mitigation efforts, and communicate the importance of sound BC/DR practices throughout all levels of the organization.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: B.S. or B.A. in Business, Information Technology or related field

Minimum Required: 10 year’s in experience in managing a BCM program

Minimum Required: 1-2 years of leadership experience in a BC Networking Group (ACP, MCPF, etc.)
LICENSES AND CREDENTIALS

Minimum Required: CBCP and/or MBCI
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Continue to maintain professional licenses and certifications and attend webinars and conferences as necessary to keep up-to-date with changes in the BC/DR field.
SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY
Proficient in MS Office and industry-recognized BCM software (Assurance, Recovery Planner, Fusion)
