We are looking for Unit Assistant to help our providers and nurses by communicating with other departments within our hospital, and also by communicating with other hospitals and agencies outside of Stillwater Medical.
This position does not directly care for patients but supports those who do. We are currently looking for candidates who have previous experience working as a unit assistant.

Details :
- Must be available to work some 12 hour shifts during the weekday - 7a-7p.
- Schedule will vary based on department needs
- Position is "as needed"
- Weekend rotation
- Holiday rotation
JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for the clerical functions of unit and assisting in coordination of unit activities with minimal supervision. QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum age of 18 years; HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Ability to type 40 wpm, preferred
- Ability to Communicate Effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to function appropriately in stressful situations
- Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful, but not required
- Excellent customer service skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Work is sedentary in nature, with some standing and walking
- Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections
- Must be able to talk and hear to converse with others, in person, and over the telephone
- Adequate vision or correctable with glasses, to prepare, process, and read written materials
