What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at Sting Rays Bar and Grill?
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing and serving beverages to guests
- Operate the Aloha POS system to process orders and payments accurately
- Upsell and promote drink specials and menu items to increase sales
- Assist with catering events and special functions as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glasses
- Follow all food handling and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service and accurate order delivery
Requirements:
- Previous experience in bartending or a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of various drink recipes, brewing techniques, and mixology
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Proficient in using the Aloha POS system or similar point-of-sale software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
