This position is responsible for planning, negotiating, and buying raw materials, packaging and finished goods to meet demand, while managing appropriate inventory levels.
Duties:
- Fabricate and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's supply chain needs
- Source and procure materials, components, and services required for production
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and delivery terms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide procurement support
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and on-time delivery
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems, such as Oracle EBS, to track inventory levels and generate purchase orders
- Implement quality management processes, including root cause analysis, to address supplier quality issues
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in using MRP systems, such as Oracle EBS, for procurement activities
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on supply chain requirements
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with supply chain management concepts and practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build effective relationships with suppliers
