Bartender
- Greet bar guests promptly by name.
- Engage in conversations to get to know customers on a personal level and increase repeat business.
- Know the menu and make recommendations, always getting guests to try new things.
- Have a magnetic personality by being a great listener and conversationalist.
- Repeat orders back to customers and make sure dishes are put in correctly.
- Make bar drinks according to Stix's recipes and procedures.
- Bartend with style and care as the bartender is a focal point in the restaurant.
- Wow the guests with a friendly and professional attitude and demeanor.
- Be able to multitask, and move quickly and purposefully to meet Stix's timing standards.
- Be able to go back and forth between caring for bar guests, tending to the needs of tables in the bar area, and helping bag to go orders as needed.
- Follow Stix's service standards and procedures to a tee to ensure consistency.
- Set an example for all serving staff by providing 5-star service and building strong and lasting relationships with guests.
- Monitor alcohol service in restaurant to ensure guests are not being overserved.
- Be available to handle complaints or questions about bar drinks or to cut off a guest before they become intoxicated.
- Help educate servers about the drink menu and make sure drinks are being run properly and in a timely manner.
- Communicate and work well with other bartenders and team members and set an example with a great attitude whether in front of customers or not.
- Conscientiously process credit card payments and ensure each customer is paid out.
- Help maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow food safety procedures.
- Complete opening, running, and closing side-work as well as daily cleaning duties.
