What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Systems Analyst II position at STL?
Job Summary:
As an IT Systems Analyst II, you will be providing direct IT support to STL’s clients via phone, email, and in-person with the highest level of professionalism and customer service.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides escalation support and incoming tickets assistance for the service delivery team as needed and based on availability.
- Answers calls and interacts with clients as needed.
- Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Deals with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders.
- Develops and maintain documentation for procedures.
- Assists other departments with additional tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
- Experience with Windows PC and Server operating systems
- Proven working experience in Microsoft and other enterprise-grade products and services such as Exchange, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and similar platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud systems such as Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with configuring and servicing Firewalls.
- Networking knowledge (OSI networks layers, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing)
- Experience with monitoring systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and comfort working with all levels of an organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation software a plus.
- Experience in a similar role, which can include a combination of education and industry certifications such as A , Network or vendor specific such as Fortinet NSE4 or higher and, Microsoft Certifications.
