Job Description: Team Leader: Supply Chain - Purchasing
Mission: Understand and support company purpose, vision, mission, values, metrics, and critical success factors
Lead your team in conducting daily team business, coordinating effectively with all other teams and provide leadership. Improve team performance through training, education, coaching, personal development, Continuous Process Improvements (CPI), LEAN, etc.
Critical Success Factors/Metrics:

- Zero Lost Time Accidents
- Create and maintain a safe environment
- Warranty return goal: < 0.5%
- On-Time-Delivery to Published Standard: 90%
- Maintain 95% Inventory Accuracy

Job Duties:

Improve/Grow team performance (time allocation 60%)
- Quarterly performance discussions and annual performance/360 review of team members
- Scheduling, vacations, monitor time and attendance and overtime weekly
- Hold team accountable for 6S
- Initiate and “own” continuous improvement events in your area and throughout STOBER, including equipment improvements, LEAN, Standardization, etc., to simplify and improve quality and efficiency. Utilize internal ME/IE resources and outside sources as support.
- Create and “own” process maps and work instructions, review annually and train all team members annually
- Train and document training of all team members in all necessary qualities and skill
- Problem solving address any problems that arise on your shift(s) for team members
- Collaborate with all areas of STOBER as needed to address issues and opportunities

Run the team business (time allocation 40%)
- Lead team members in running daily business processes of running MRP, maintaining correct inventory levels, correct dates when material will be available to customer, locating alternative sources, cost effect and stable logistics options for shipping and receiving, developing and managing supplier relationships and negotiating the terms and conditions.
- Lead team huddle meetings at a minimum of weekly; document and track action items until completion
- Coordination with other teams in meeting customer demands
- Coordinate activities between shifts in your area
- Cover team capacity shortages when peaks arise or members are absent
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associates Degree or higher preferred
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is minimally exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
