Lowboy Operator

The Lowboy truck driver is responsible for operating a truck and trailer for transportation of construction material and equipment. In this position, the driver will load construction equipment (may include, but not limited to: front end loaders, crusher equipment, dozers, excavators, oversize loads) onto trailer and transport them various construction sites. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks.

Position Requirements:

• Properly follow all company policies and procedures
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
• Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions
• Maintain vehicle daily mileage logs
• Load and unload equipment
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers and clients
• Perform minor servicing of the truck assigned to you
• Must keep truck clean and orderly
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 23 years of age or older
• Posses a valid Class A drivers license
• Have a good driving record
• Pass DOT pre employment drug test and background check
• Be willing to travel and work away from home when needed
• Be willing to work weekends when necessary
• Report to work at assigned time
• Be willing to work overtime as needed
• Be willing to load and unload equipment, no matter the weather
• Wear PPE anytime you exit your truck
• Great attention to detail
