Stoel Rives LLP has an immediate opening for an IT Endpoint Specialist. The IT Endpoint Specialist is part of the Endpoint Engineering Team and is a key contributor to the design, implementation and support of firm-wide PC and mobile device technologies, which include: Microsoft Windows OS and Windows-based applications, VMware View, VPN and wireless mobile devices (iOS & Android). Daily duties include being an escalation resource to the Support & Training team, packaging and deploying desktop applications, patching desktop and remote access systems and ongoing involvement in firm-wide technology projects.
The Endpoint Specialist works with desktop and remote application technologies in use by end users and must contribute to engineering solutions that meet the business needs of the firm. Heavily used desktop and remote applications currently include but are not limited to Microsoft’s Professional Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, iManage suite, Workshare Compare, Microsoft Teams, CaseMap, InterAction, Visio, Mobile Iron, and Intune.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with our Endpoint Engineers to support software distribution and patch management to Windows-based desktops, laptops, virtual workstations and to wireless mobile devices
- Provides escalation support for Tier 2 technicians, engaging with technicians and users to collect information and troubleshoot issues to resolution.
- Identifies emerging problems/trends and bugs/issues and engages the correct internal resources and/or vendors.
- Packages applications for unattended deployment with Configuration Manager and/or Intune. This includes following vendor documentation, pre/post-scripting, comprehensive testing, and meeting corporate user experience standard.
- Monitors and reports on deployment status of application installs and updates.
- Maintains hardware inventory (purchasing, deployment and decommissioning) and related automation processes.
- Maintains software licensing conducting scheduled periodic compliance audits.
- Responsible for device provisioning for new and current users. Review and provide input to imaging Task Sequence/Autopilot provisioning process.
- Supports Audio/Visual and conference rooms, including hardware and network systems, phone, projector, and video conference equipment.
- Supports Mobile Device Management including troubleshooting and policy management.
- Writes and revises relevant user documentation and help articles. Documents processes and troubleshooting instructions for operations and support teams.
- Provide technical training, consulting and presentations as needed
- Tracks work items for projects and tasks/escalations effectively.

Technical Knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in endpoint support/management.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 operating system.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Apps for Enterprise and integrations.
- Experience with Windows application configuration and packaging.
- Familiarity with legal applications (e.g.: Litera, LexisNexis, Thompson Reuters, iManage) preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager, including Intune and Configuration Manager.
- Working knowledge of application package standards (e.g.: MSI, MSIX, PSADK).
- Working knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VMware Horizon).
- Basic Knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, Microsoft 365.
- Working knowledge of video conference support (e.g.: Zoom, Teams)
- Working knowledge of mobile device management (e.g.: MobileIron, Intune)
Physical/Mental Capabilities
- The ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time daily
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to operate firm computer equipment and a touch tone telephone
- Must be able to communicate complex information and ideas to end users
- Must be able to meet deadlines set by management
- Must be available and able to travel
NORMAL WORK HOURS
This position is exempt. Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an expectation to work whatever hours are necessary to accomplish the assigned responsibilities.
