Produce Manager

Stoltzfus Meats makes and sells fine, fresh, home-style foods. We have an opening for a FT AM Assistant Manager to oversee our *NEW* produce area, including ordering and managing product and supply inventory, developing retail displays, stocking, and cutting produce. Stoltzfus Meats maintains a drug-free workplace, and conducts pre-employment drug screening for all team members.

Qualifications:

• Age 21
• Speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to stand, walk, and twist for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Previous produce experience preferred
• Supervisory/management experience preferred
• ServSafe certification preferred (or earn within 6 months of employment)

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the produce department at the Center Street location
• Order produce and supplies, including other products, and packaging materials
• Evaluate and review product inventory to ensure quality and reduce shrink
• Oversee the retail display area for produce, including correct packaging, stocking products, and maintaining appealing displays
• Enforce cleanliness of the produce prep and storage areas, including personal hygiene, equipment cleaning, and work areas/countertop spaces
• Work with Store Manager on costing and pricing of products to meet profitability targets
• Communicate equipment needs, repairs, and other facility concerns to Store Manager and Director of Retail
• Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager and Farmhouse Manager to coordinate use of product that cannot be retailed
• Support other departments as needed by performing operational work within the area
• Attend the Center Street management team meetings and quarterly managers meetings
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies; contribute to a safe working environment for all team members
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule & Benefits:

• Full time is an average of 40 hours/week
• Tentative schedule is Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday, 5 am - 2 pm; Saturdays are part of the regular/required schedule
• The Center Street store operates Monday - Friday from 6 am - 6 pm, and Saturday from 6 am - 5 pm
• No late nights and no Sundays!

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
