JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Stone Mason you will be expected to be skilled in a variety of landscape installations including, but not limited to, all types of hardscapes, patios, stone walls, retaining walls, wet laid and dry laid stone, fireplaces, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, stone veneer, water features, paver and travertine pool decks, walkways, driveways, etc. Additionally, you’ll display a proven ability to work with others to maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team. This individual will be responsible for managing time, materials, and site safety in the field, as well as ensuring all jobs are completed to Stonesculpt Standards. This position will report to and coordinate projects with our Project Manager.
ABOUT Stonesculpt
Small business specialized in restoration of landmark architecture and sculpture in stone. Most of our work at Stanford University and sometimes in Bay Area.
Experience in masonry, concrete work or construction is plus. Training on site will be provided.
Most of the work is outdoors. We are looking for good fit, someone who enjoys working with hands, eager to learn or improve their skills. Reliable and responsible. Learn craft of fine stone work and stone carving that will not be replaced by AI.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Ensuring productivity with the laborers
Use skills to develop the team for growth opportunities
Ability to understand and execute.
Evaluate reports or designs to determine work needs.
Communicate needs to the crew lead to ensure that the job can be done.
Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
Independent worker with good time management skills
Experienced in masonry or landscaping and physical labor

Operation of small construction equipment
Operation of larger construction equipment is a plus (i.e. Mini Skid Steer, Bobcat. Forklift, etc.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Minimum (3) years of Landscaping or Construction experience (Preferred)
Must have 1-3 years hardscape installation experience (Paver patios, retaining walls, steps, etc.).
Experience with equipment use such as backhoes, mini excavators, cut off saws, etc.
Valid California Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record (Preferred)
Fluency in English and Spanish (Preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing and walking
Must be able to lift and move up to 80lbs
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with work sites
Perform work with OSHA required PPE; Including COVID19 PPE
