Terminal Manager

Job summary:

As the Terminal Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading, managing, and holding accountable a team of key personnel, including the Shop Manager, Tank Wash Manager, Facility Manager, and Bellevue Terminal Manager. You will be responsible for implementing process improvements, driving operational efficiency, and utilizing data-driven insights to achieve greater profitability and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

· Leadership:

o Provide strategic direction and vision for the terminal's operations in Van Wert and Bellevue Ohio.

o Build and empower a high-performing team through effective communication, coaching, and delegation.

o Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

· Management:

o Oversee all aspects of the terminal's operations, including the Shop, Tank Wash, Depot, and Facility departments.

o Develop and implement operational plans to optimize efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.

o Manage costs and ensure adherence to financial goals.

· Accountability:

o Hold direct reports accountable for achieving individual and team performance goals.

o Implement systems to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

o Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.

· Process Improvement:

o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.

o Utilize data analytics to identify trends and make informed decisions.

o Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the terminal.

· Technology:

o Embrace and leverage technology to improve communication, data collection, and overall business performance.

o Partner with IT to implement and utilize new technologies effectively.

Education and Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the transportation, logistics, or a related industry.

· Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing complex operations.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to utilize data to make informed decisions.

· Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate teams.

· Knowledge of EOS is preferred.

· Strong skillset utilizing spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) to make business decisions.

· Ability to travel when needed.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to sit and/or stand for 8 – 10 consecutive hours per day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
