Storee Construction is a full-service general contractor that handles all aspects of industrial and commercial building projects – including new construction, renovation and modification, equipment moving, facility relocation – as well as – comprehensive conveyer and production system installation.
We’re currently seeking a full-time Purchase Order Specialist to join our team!
Position Summary: The Purchase Order Specialist assists field personnel with prompt and accurate job cost purchase orders. This position negotiates vendor terms, prices and schedules delivery using knowledge of budget and schedule requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
- Carries out warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.
- Manages equipment rental process.
- Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
- Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock and scheduling delivery.
- Promptly processes approved purchase order requests by verifying specifications and price and obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items.
- Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- Maintains accurate job cost related information posted to accounting and project management systems.
- Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents within SharePoint or other file locations.
- Performs cross training in other job cost or administrative positions within the company.
- Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma / GED is required.
- 2 years of purchasing related experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook computer applications is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and SharePoint is preferred.'
Physical requirements include (but are not limited to):
- Light physical effort required.
- Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility.
Typically, is scheduled to work Storee standard field work hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Mondays through Friday. Position may be required to work overtime.
