Stotts Turkey Farms is seeking a full time Assistant Farm Manager for their turkey farm operations located near Howard Lake. Responsible for daily care, health and maintenance for turkeys at designated barn site. Variable day time hours with rotating weekends and holidays. Competitive, hourly pay based on experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Daily care for Turkeys - monitor feed, water and temperatures
- Follow cleaning procedures to ensure a safe environment
- Farm maintenance and housekeeping
- Drive tractors/skid loaders - previous experience a plus
- Keep detailed and accurate records
- Follow biosecurity protocols
- Report to Turkey Farm Manager
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, squat, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds
- Interest in working with animals and a strong desire to learn
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Awareness of surroundings and attention to detail
- Dependable and able to work with minimal supervision
Experience:
- Animal Care - 1 year experience required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
