This job is located in Stoughton, WI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for adherence to the Cardinal Rules of Safety.
- Responsible for performing inspections on products including manufactured and purchased components.
- Assist in First Article Inspection (weld qualification) as required.
- Collecting and recording data from Programmable Measuring Systems.
- Perform analytical testing within the Quality Inspection Area.
- Assist with administrative duties within the Quality Inspection Area.
- Support Weld Process Quality Lead on tracking performance results.
- Ability to develop relationships in a highly matrixed organization, and drive teamwork cross-functionally.
- Working with minimal direction.
- Ability to interpret weld requirements in Engineering drawings, quality inspection plans, procedures, and work instructions.
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate and highly productive manner according to company policy.
- Assist with training needs of inspectors and provide support as necessary.
- Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis.
- Maintain good attendance.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
o High School diploma or equivalent, based on education and work experience
Licenses / Certifications :
o AWS CWI (preferred, not required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
o Three years’ experience in a quality weld Inspection role preferably with an active certified quality system (ISO, AS, etc.).
o Welding experience preferred but not required.
o Demonstrate experience performing weld inspection to AWS D1.1
o Ability to pass visual acuity test.
o Capable of using general gauges (Cam Gauge, Fillet gauges, V-WAC )
o Quality experience with weld and sheet metal inspection.
o Basic Problem-Solving experience.
o Inspection experience using Engineering drawings (interpretation, etc.)
o Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and windows-based programs
o Effective oral and written communications skills
o Attention to detail
o Ability to read and understand 2D drawings
o Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
o Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
o Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with people at all levels in numerous functions.
o Must be able to maintain a high activity level and be able to effectively manage and prioritize numerous projects and responsibilities independently
o Dependable accuracy, organization, and efficiency in work
