Senior Full Stack Developer
STR is seeking an experienced Full Stack Web Developer to work with our system engineering teams in designing and building beautiful and usable data-centric websites. This role offers an opportunity to work from the very beginning of an idea all the way to deploying a final, production-ready web application. The successful candidate will design and implement websites for our clients and projects; they will not maintain nor build the STR website. STR is seeking candidates ranging from experienced developers to technical leads; entry-level developers will not be considered for this role.
The Role:
Provide leadership on a new development effort through stages of design, implementation, and demonstration. This role will be hybrid with up to 25% of time required in either our Woburn, MA or Arlington, VA office. Specific responsibilities include:
- Communicate with the team, users, and clients to develop and document requirements.
- Create User-Centric and Data-Centric designs that are intuitive.
- Implement complex data-driven web applications that are cross-browser, cross-device, and responsive.
- Design and implement the stack for speed, scalability, and reusability.
- Design and create REST and graphQL APIs.
- Integrate the front-end UI with APIs.
- Design and create databases.
- Deploy websites to AWS.
- Participate as a member of an Agile/Scrum software team.
- Collaborate across numerous programs and divisions within the company.
- Provide technical advice.
- Be adaptable and passionate about continuous learning.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 4 years’ experience with JavaScript, CSS, CSS extension languages (LESS, Sass), CSS preprocessor tools, HTML5 and its best practices.
- Demonstrated expertise with at least two of: React, Redux, Flask, Django, Node, Vue.
- Demonstrated expertise with Python and at least one other back-end programming language (Java, .Net, JavaScript) and willingness to learn more.
- Demonstrated expertise with graphQL and/or REST APIs.
- Experience with AWS (or Azure).
- Proficiency with Git version control.
- Proficiency using the command line.
- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Ability to work independently.

- Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience managing subcontractors.
- Experience with User Interactions and User Experience, or UI/UX research.
