Job Overview: The successful candidate will be accountable for storage, retrieval and distribution of compounds for biological assays as well as chemical building blocks for compound synthesis and QC.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures all samples and storage containers are labeled clearly
- Ensures appropriate storage conditions for all incoming samples
- Assist in providing samples from compound inventory to various collaborating groups as requested. This may include screening plate copies, quality control plate copies, dose-response/IC50 plates, and individual cherry-pick compounds.
- Accurately logging samples into the laboratory LIMS system
Qualifications:
- Chemical lab experience: pharmaceutical/biotechnology lab experience preferred, academic will be considered; BS/BA degree in physical, or life sciences is preferred
- General experience with proper manual pipetting techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to follow specific instructions and written protocols
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and within a team, identify and resolve problems with minimal supervision
- Keep accurate records, works safely, and completes work on schedule
- Experience using Titian’s Mosaic compound management software platform is desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
