Job Summary: As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our cloud-based software solutions running on Microsoft Azure. Your expertise in cloud engineering and automation will drive workflow efficiency, productivity, and technology deployment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and contribute to maintaining the security and availability of client environments.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the production and non-production cloud-based software solutions running on Microsoft Azure.
- Deploy, configure, and secure Azure services using Azure Portal, Terraform, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Continuously improve workflow, efficiency, productivity, and technology deployment through innovative thought and automation.
- Take ownership of projects or tasks from inception to completion, escalating issues when necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain and enhance the security of client environments and customer data.
- Monitor environments to ensure availability, resiliency, and performance meet SLAs.
- Respond promptly to monitoring alerts and troubleshoot and debug PaaS service failures.
- Collaborate with customer services, professional services, project/program/product managers, and engineers to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Create, update, and maintain documentation for systems, processes, procedures, and infrastructure configuration.
- Assist with evidence collection during audits and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on mission-critical cloud-first infrastructures, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering available and resilient infrastructures across multiple industries.
- Proficiency in Azure Portal, Azure DevOps, and Azure Active Directory.
- Strong experience and working knowledge of a range of Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
- Familiarity with serverless and container technologies, including Azure Function Apps, Docker, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure, authentication, encryption, and cybersecurity, enabling them using Azure and/or other tools.
- Experience with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting DevOps pipelines.
- Application debugging skills to support troubleshooting.
- Experience implementing monitoring of key indicators covering availability, diagnostics, performance, and logs.
- Strong SQL expertise, including always-on, replication, performance, backup/restore, stored procedures, schema, and query optimization.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in automation creation using PowerShell, Linux/BashShell, Terraform, JSON/YAML.
- Experience working in an agile/scrum environment using work item/ticketing queues for task management and communication.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure and DevOps are highly desirable.
