Junior trader

Strategas has a new opportunity to join our team as a Sales Trader in our New York office. We are looking for someone who is highly driven, has passion for the financial markets, and thrives in a team environment.

As a Sales Trader, y ou will :

• Work within a structured team environment with a primary focus on supporting existing and prospective institutional equity trading clients by utilizing Strategas' award-winning macro-economic research and resources.
• Execute purchases and sales of investment products in a timely and efficient manner.
• Build long-term, quality relationships with institutional equity trading desks.
• Develop in-depth market and trading knowledge, working side-by-side with veteran sales traders.

What we look for :

Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or related work experience, with an emphasis in the functional area of Finance.

1-3 years' experience.

• Exceptional communication skills - ability to effectively communicate and excel in high stress team environment with a high level of professionalism.
• Motivated, driven, and competitive team player.
• Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and ability to successfully multi-task.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.
• Adaptability to consistently changing technology and markets.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player
• LICENSES : must possess an active SIE, Series 7, 63 & 55 license.

This is an 'in office' position at our NY Headquarters.

Compensation Information

Compensation will be based on performance and equity participation will be possible over time with an average base salary of $80-120k.
