Career Opportunity: Electronic Support Specialist with The Verdin Company in Cincinnati, OH

We are seeking an Electronic Support Specialist to work with clients and our Field Service Engineers to resolve product problems. The ideal candidate will be trained by our senior technical support representatives. The candidate will also work closely with our engineering and R&D teams in mastering unique electronic and mechanical products. In addition, you will be responsible to:
- Answer Inbound calls primarily solving client and field technician issues.
- Work closely with engineering team to learn answers to various challenges.
- Handle multiple & varying troubleshooting issues per day.
- Learn on the fly and adapt with every changing issue.
- Mastering the functionality and programming issues of various Verdin products.
- Use technical manuals, electrical risers, CAD drawings, and other resources to troubleshoot mechanical/system problems.
- Document technical support activity to identify recurring issues.
- Investigate problems for root cause and provide data for management report.
- Work with manufacturing team to identify problems and potential warranty issues.
- Support creation of training manuals, troubleshooting guides, and other user aid materials.
To qualify for this great opportunity, you should have:
- Technical support experience on electronic and mechanical products with a track record of successful troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Customer service experience dealing with electrical/mechanical equipment.
- Effective communication skills and dedication to solving problems and serving customers.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office programs; experience with service/support database programs or equivalent ERP/CRM systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and without direct supervision; self-starter who can think creatively to solve problems.
- Comfortable working in high-demand environment and dealing with periodic surges of customer support calls.
- Experience as a sound technician or electrician is welcome.
- Resilient in dealing with customer issues even when initial attempts fail.
