Strategic Interventions, LLC. (SI) is a growing mental health company, currently with seven large ACT Teams located across North Carolina. We offer Evidence Based Practices to adults with severe mental illness. We are known for the great care we take with clients and employees alike. We are adding a ACTT Team Lead to our Warrenton team! The ACCT Team Lead is responsible for coordinating clinical services in collaboration with the ACT Team psychiatric care provider for members who have a severe mental illness and supervise Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) staff in their assigned area to coordinate ACTT services to members served.
Education:
A master’s degree in a human services field is required and must be licensed in North Carolina as a: Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LCSW-A), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC or LCMHC-A), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Work experience:
The ACT Team Lead must have at least 2 years' experience working with individuals who have been diagnosed with a severe mental illness. A minimum of 2 years Clinical Supervisory experience is highly desirable. Experience in a management position is desired.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficient supervisory and program management skills and abilities. This employee must have general knowledge regarding principles of Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) and the laws, regulations, and policies that govern these services. This employee must possess a thorough knowledge of social work/therapy principles, techniques and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problems. This employee will possess considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques. This employee must have considerable knowledge of a wide range of behavioral and psychosocial problems and their treatments. This position should have knowledge of substance use disorders and treatment for each stage of change in this area.
Interpersonal Skills:
Must possess skills in rapport building while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with members being served by the ACT Team. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely while executing and planning work effectively. Must have knowledge of Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and the ability to assess information objectively. The Team Lead will have the ability to interpret problems when they arise. This individual must have a knowledge of team dynamics and be able to manage a team of individuals working together. The Team Lead must have the ability to build positive relationships and exhibit strong written and oral communication is required.
Travel Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License and insurance required. Travel will vary depending on the daily schedule for this position. All travel is in the community where the members live and work.
Essential Job Duties
Direct Services:
Direct the day-to-day clinical operations of Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) services including scheduling of staff work hours to assure appropriate coverage for day, evening, weekend, and holiday times. Lead organizational staff meetings and treatment planning meetings. Coordinate the referral and admission process with other Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) staff and the consumer. Provide clinical supervision to Assertive Community Treatment Team staff and participate in staff recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training. Supervise administrative support staff to ensure that medical records management follows agency policies, Medicaid, and other third-party payment requirements. Develop and maintain program policies and procedures and request revision as necessary utilizing the processes to update agency policies. Provide Individual and Group Therapy, establish access to community services, support networks and assess and reassess member needs on a regular basis. Complete evaluations, Intakes, Comprehensive Assessments and determine current mental status. Assist Members in formulating treatment goals and plans and completion of service authorizations. Participate in on-going comprehensive assessments, ensure immediate and appropriate interventions are provided in response to changes in mental status which may put members at risk. Advocate on behalf of members being served. Must be available for crisis assistance at all times.
