Position Overview: This is a contractor support position for the Defense Media Activity (DMA) Office of Acquisition and Procurement, located at 6700 Taylor Ave, Fort Meade, MD 20755. Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
· Pre-Award and Post-Award Functions: Perform acquisition planning, develop solicitations, conduct price/cost analysis, negotiate contracts, and administer contracts including BPA calls and task/delivery orders.
· Review and Strategy Development: Review procurement packages and assist in developing contract strategies and types that support mission requirements.
· Documentation Preparation: Prepare essential documentation like justifications and approvals, determinations and findings, and source selection decisions to ensure compliance with procurement regulations, policies, statutes, and laws.
· Research and Analysis: Research and interpret procurement regulations, policies, and procedures; analyze and evaluate certified cost and pricing data and other types of pricing information to determine price reasonableness.
· Support to Contracting Officer: Provide recommendations to the Contracting Officer on award documentation, contract administration, and terminations of contracts for the procurement of supplies and services, including complex contracts and high-dollar acquisitions.
· Documentation Management: Prepare contract files and electronic documents required for procurement processes.
Qualifications
· Educational Background: Possess at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or have a minimum of 24 hours of accredited college business credits in fields such as accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
· Experience Requirement: Minimum of two (2) years of recent Federal contracting experience, with performance equivalent to at least the GS-9 level or above, encompassing various aspects of pre-award and post-award functions.
· Specialized Contracting Experience: Specialized experience in contracting at the GS-9 level or higher, including handling of acquisition planning, development of solicitations, price/cost analysis, contract negotiations, and administration.
· Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
· Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
· Knowledge of Government Contracting: Documented experience and working knowledge of DoD or other federal government contracting.
· Regulatory Familiarity: Familiarity with FAR-based acquisitions and a thorough understanding of federal procurement regulations, policies, and laws.

Salary: $80,000-90,000
