Security Specialist SOC Operator

Job Description

The SOC Operator is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and coordinating all incidents that will or may impact business operations while in a fast-paced environment. Using a variety of systems, SOC operators will assist with requests via phone, email, and/or radio. SOC operators will troubleshoot, assess, and security-related issues as required.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with security and external partners during emergencies and routine events
• Dispatch security officers, fire patrol officers, and EMS personnel as required.
• Provide exceptional customer service while supporting external partners with requests via email, radios, cameras, monitoring CCTV, and/or phone.
• Able to follow the Stratigos Dynamics, Inc. policies and procedures in any situation
• Maintain and accurately log all equipment and keys signed out and returned by security.
• Properly document every incident that comes into the SOC and escalates to management as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency.
• Able to remain calm and handle high-stress situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and able to multitask.
• Prior experience in dispatch, call center, or a SOC environment

Candidates shall have/possess or be able to possess the following:

• Security Guard License issued by LSBPSE
• Reliable transportation
• Basic Tablet/Smart Phone Applications Skills
• Clean Criminal Background
• Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Able to withstand all types of weather (hot, cold, rain, etc.)
• Must have the ability to pick up to 50lbs
• For this position, you must be over 21 years of age. Do you meet this age requirement?
• Have a valid TWIC card or be able to be approved for TWIC (In hand first day of work)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Schedule:  7 On / 7 Off, 12-hour shifts

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Security Guard/Corrections: 1 year (Preferred)
• SOC Operations: 2 years (Preferred)
• Law Enforcement: 1 year (Preferred)
• Military: 3 years (Preferred)
• IT: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certifications

• Unexpired Driver's License (Required)
• Louisiana Guard Card (Preferred)
• Clean Criminal Background (Required)
• Valid TWIC Card (Must have before the first day of employment)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (Required)

Benefit Conditions: Only Full-Time-time employees are eligible for company benefits (after 60 days of employment).

The first 90 days of your employment will be under a probationary period.
