Position Summary

The Applications Specialists is responsible to provide support and configuration of the company’s software as a service deployed systems. The roles responsibility will be to adjust or reconfigure applications and tailor them to meet the specific needs of the organization or individual users. They may play a primary role in selecting or recommending applications based on user needs. The role directly works with team members to monitor and manage hosted applications and databases and escalate according to established procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor and maintain tickets and messaging from internal customers
  • Document and maintain systems and guides
  • Debug software and fix other technical issues
  • Log all requests and solutions
  • Collaborate with team in design and development of new code supporting workflow and application integration
  • Modifies, writes, and documents workflow systems applications.
  • Configures and creates large and small enhancements.
  • Assist in developing specifications and plans for innovative designs.
  • Supports an always-available platform.
  • Communicates ideas for improving department processes with a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Supports technical production staff as needed.
  • Handles multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring seamless execution through stellar organizational and documentation skills.
  • Designs and develop user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
  • Ensures processes meet requirements and provide adjustments when necessary.
  • Support Apple and Microsoft desktop technologies including OS X, iOS, Office 365, Windows.
  • Own the day-to-day operations of the end-user help desk.
  • Collaborative and solution-based participation in department meetings.
  • Keep an organized workspace, both on the computer and within studio environment as designated by your supervisor.
  • Turn in all proper documentation by deadlines; this will include company forms and time off requests.
  • Work with teams across multiple time zones
  • Additional company duties, as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Help Desk support
  • Experience using MAC operating systems is required.
  • Experience using warehousing and cloud-based applications
  • Understanding of API principles
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven development practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming or development experience
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring seamless execution through stellar organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong Proficiency with Apple/Macintosh hardware and 3rd party software
  • Strong attention to details with ability to focus on a repetitive task and consistently accurate entry of data.
  • Solves non-routine problems in collaboration with their manager; takes initiative to modify procedures and processes as appropriate and makes contributions that impact work team results.
  • Demonstrated planning skills and the ability to prioritize using information around due dates, clients, internal resource skill sets and when to escalate for assistance and awareness.
  • Expert-level skill in Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Adobe Creative Suite skills are a plus.
  • Must have proficient basic math skills and ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules.
  • Respectful and courteous when interacting with others, a calm and collaborative demeanor is expected when working through conflict. You will always professionally present the studio and yourself. The expectation is to balance listening and talking, writing clearly, and accurately any decisions.
  • Experience with ShotFlo and ProWorkflow.
  • Must have proficient necessary math skills and the ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Comfort and experience in assisting as needed.
