Position: Political Canvasser
Street Level Campaigns, LLC is a political and public affairs consulting firm specializing in grassroots advocacy and coalition building for political campaigns, non-profits, trade associations, and corporate clients. Street Level Campaigns is seeking experienced canvassers for projects and campaigns across California.
Canvasser duties include outreaching out to residents and voters in person, primarily through door-to-door as well as on the phone.
We are hiring canvassers to work part-time on a State Assembly race in Hayward and surrounding communities.
Employment shifts include the following hours:
Monday-Thursday from 4:00-8:00
Saturday and Sunday from 10:00-7:00.
This position is seasonal from 9/16 - 11/8.
Minimum hours per week: 24 hours
Maximum hour per week: 32 Hours
Qualifications:
Previous organizing, canvassing, or civic engagement experience preferred
Strong verbal communication skills
Exceptional social and people skills
Interest in social and political issues
Self-motivated and able to reach goals
Good time-management skills
Good judgment
Ability to learn new information on topics quickly
Ability to pay attention to detail
Women and people of color are encouraged to apply
Bilingual candidates are preferred
Pay & Benefits:
Starting pay is $33.00/hour, with an opportunity for upward mobility within the company.
A driving stipend is available for drivers.
