Stretch Practitioner

At StretchLab Lee's Summit, Flexologists mainly provide one-on-one assisted stretches, but on occasion lead small group stretching classes for our clients. In terms of the mission we're on --- it's more than focused around to just be a wellness center—we're a community dedicated to having a positive impact on our customers lives through personalized stretching and educating the community on the benefits of our industry leading assisted stretch experience.

Our journey began when our owner, with a background in finance, business consulting, and private equity, found relief from chronic pain after a skiing accident through StretchLab's transformative stretching techniques. Inspired by the significant improvement in quality of life, he embarked on a mission to share the benefits of StretchLab with others.

Our team of passionate Flexologist team members are committed to helping our clients achieve their wellness goals through one-on-one stretching sessions tailored to each individual's needs. We believe in the power of a core values-based leadership mindset, fostering a positive impact on the community we serve.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions (25 or 50 minutes)

Encourage, motivate and educate clients throughout stretch sessions about benefits of stretching and StretchLab’s specific technique (PNF).

Help build up StretchLab membership and retain clientele.

Deliver superior customer service experience, focused on stretching results.

Assist General Manager and Sales/Front Desk staff with studio "tours" for prospective members, Introductory Stretches & membership sales, as needed.

Attend team meetings and required educational trainings & presentations.

Clean & maintain all equipment in order to ensure it is available for client use at any given time.

Handle member concerns when applicable.

Qualifications:

Passion for a start up environment is a must

Passion for body work - stretching, flexibility & mobility.

A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a fitness/health environment where you provide hands-on training with clients.

Required background/certifications:

• Licensed Massage Therapist
• Certified Athletic Trainer, Personal Trainer, or Sports Coach
• Licensed Physical Therapist (or PT aid/technician)
• Certified Pilates or Yoga Instructor

Ability to create a positive environment that welcomes all people.

Strong interpersonal skills and social savvy; ability to connect with people.

Passion for helping clients achieve their wellness goals.

Must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and professional.

Must be available to go through our Nationally Accredited Assisted Stretching Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials, 2 days of in-person/hands-on training and 20 hours of practicum.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
