Job description
General Description / Essential Elements
- Serves as the frontline ambassador to all residents and guests to the community providing the highest level of customer service.
- Assists residents with concerns about the community or services provided while providing solutions and effective follow-up.
Essential Duties
- 1. Adheres to policies, operating procedures, Strive Senior Living Core Values, and the Mission Statement
- 2. Assists guests and residents with loading and unloading of vehicles
- 3. Assists residents with suggestions about activities outside the community to include shopping, dining, and entertainment options
- 4. Works closely with the Business Office Director to monitor consistency and quality of service provided throughout the residence
- 5. Receives initial customer and resident concerns and directs them to the appropriate department for follow-up
- 6. Maintains a strong knowledge of the local community and provides residents with directions to festivals, events, attractions, dining rooms, tours and transportation schedules in the surrounding area
- 7. Builds relationships and networks with area personnel in tourism industry including convention and visitors bureau, state office of tourism, clubs and organizations, and attractions
- 8. Ensures that front reception desk appears professional, clean, and is stocked with information including local maps, brochures, and event literature for the residence and outside sponsored activities
- 9. Responsible for a positive presence throughout the community, interacting with residents in common areas to determine any needs
- 10. Monitors common areas such as bistro, discovery room, and sitting areas to ensure they are properly stocked, clean, and ready for residents to use and directs concerns to the appropriate department for follow-up
- 11. Welcomes residents and family members that are new to the community.
- 12. Conducts tours and handles inquiries as needed
- 13. Coordinates with the Sales Director to ensure that model rooms are ready and available for viewing
- 14. Coordinates the Resident Ambassador program
- 15. Night time Concierge must be immediately available and awake
- 16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Business Office Director
Work Experience / Skill Set Requirements
- Prefer prior experience in AL, IL, or SNF
- Requires one year of prior experience in customer service or hospitality field
- Require ability to read, speak, and write English clearly
- Require attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Resident care philosophy with a focus on providing the highest level of quality service and professional interaction Education / Certification / License Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- This position is primarily in an office environment. Exposure to mechanical moving parts as part of operating office equipment and ultraviolet light may occur.
- Individual is required to perform standing, walking, or lifting in this position as needed to assist residents and visitors.
