Education Specialist – Population Health

The Curriculum Developer will assist with the design, build, and implementation of training programs within Strive Health Care to ensure the successful onboarding and continuous training of clinical and non-clinical teams. Clinical teams consist of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered dieticians, medical assistants, care coordinators, social workers, pharmacists, and others. The education programs and training will reflect evidenced based clinical practice guidelines and adult learning theory. This role will support all markets nationwide, including corporate personnel, and reports to the Manager, Clinical Education and Development.

Essential Functions 

• Develop education programs and training that are evidence-based and supportive of adult learning theory.
• Work with other departments and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in building and delivering programs that meet the needs of the organization.
• Conduct workflow analysis and identify opportunities for improvement in the education and learning process and implement strategies to improve clinical excellence and operational efficiencies.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on technical applications such as electronic health record and platforms utilized for provision of care, care coordination and reporting.
• Effectively communicate new enhancements of technical applications, new and/or revised programs, and develop education resources to support end user learning.

• Meet in person with internal and/or external stakeholders to facilitate team and business priorities/opportunities. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Education, or Healthcare Administration with clinical experience.
• 3 years of curriculum development and didactic education experience in a clinical setting, ideally including experience with technical electronic applications to enhance the educational experience
• Business travel

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience as a field preceptor of students and/or new clinical hires
• Nephrology/dialysis experience
• Master of Nursing, NP, PA
• Strong knowledge of AdvancedMD, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, strong public speaking skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Applications
• Nephrology/dialysis experience
