What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Stock Handler position at STRIVE STAFFING?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Moves items into and out of storage, kitting area and/or production areas.
· Follows all safety rules and instructions, maintain 5S standards of work area and performs other functions on and off production line as required.
· Maintains necessary information and records for inventory locations on the computer and ensures appropriate paper flow with the materials/goods throughout the process.
· Performs cycle counting functions. Selects containers for parts or products. Packs and seals parts, coils or sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids.
· Loads materials into/onto trucks and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Completes shipping or receiving reports and records.
· Operates picking systems, barcode scanners, PIT, power material-handling equipment and trucks to move material and finished products.
· Takes part in the training process for all new team members. Provides input regarding the performance of new team members. Participates with other team members on safety, process and quality improvement teams. Works with team members, supervisors and support areas to coordinate workflow to meet production requirements. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
· Must be able to read and follow proper procedures and instructions.
· Must be able to operate power material handling equipment including forklifts and standup lifts and small hand and power tools.
· Must be capable of using a computer, experience working with warehouse/production software preferred.
· Must be able to use a handheld bar code scanning device
· Must be able to communicate via a 2-way radio
· Will be required to obtain and maintain forklift license.
· Minimum of one (1) year of related material stock handling experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Capable of lifting up to and including 35lbs
· Capable of working entire shift walking and working on your feet in a warehouse environment, potentially 15,000-20,000 steps.

Pay: $18.81 - $19.52 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Weekend availability

Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
