Strive is a Mini Campus for Inner City Children in the Watts community of South Los Angeles.
We provide a private academy-par after-school program for students in grades 1-12. We promote a conservative philosophy that emphasizes personal, social and academic responsibility. Job Description:
Positions Available: Teacher for after-school academics. Multiple grade-level instructors sought.
Professional and Personal Qualities Required:
- A love of children and the ability to see each one’s inherent potential.
- Classroom teaching and/or academic tutoring experienced required.
- Teach the provided curriculum. Offer tutoring and homework assistance.
- Punctuality, professional appearance, and inviting personality.
- Manage student behavior.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress and use data to adjust teaching strategies.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of student achievement.
- A friendly attitude of optimism, energy and enthusiasm.
Job Specifics:
Job Type: Part-time with benefits.
Pay: Flexible and commensurate with education and professional experience.
Hours: 1:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. Must be available all hours and days.
Benefits Include: 401 (K) retirement plan and employer matching; Holiday and Steady Pay.
Salary: $20 - 25 per hour.
