As a Junior UX Engineer at StrongMind, you'll be part of a team dedicated to creating innovative and user-friendly web applications. You will assist in designing and developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes while collaborating closely with developers to ensure the designs are accurately implemented. You will participate in design reviews and gain insight by observing users. You'll advocate for and implement the company's design system, to help create seamless experiences that delight users. Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Collaborate with developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately
- Participate in design reviews
- Observe users and understand their path to success
- Advocate for and implement the company's pattern library and design system
- Apply Lean Startup/Agile approaches to software development
- Work in an open space/team environment (no cube walls)
- Ask questions and commit to actively learning
Specific Job Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at the department level
- Passion for delivering customer-oriented solutions
- Proficient in creating wireframes, mockups, and sketches in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, or similar
- Ability to create userflows
- Understanding of HTML and CSS
- Understanding of mobile design vs desktop design
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for self-driven, continuous learning, both in and out of the office
- Passion for Education is a must; experience in Ed-Tech helpful, but not required

Education/Training:
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or related field OR Bootcamp in UX/UI Design and HTML/CSS or similar
- Experience as a UI/UX engineer or designer is a plus
