York Plaza is looking to hire a full-time professional Painter to join their team in Edina, MN. As a painter, you will strive to assure resident satisfaction, convenience, and safety through the regular and timely painting of the property/community which includes project preparation, painting, and cleanup.

Working HoursTypically, Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Property office hours may vary from property to property.

Job Responsibilities and DutiesEssential Responsibilities

• Perform property painting as needed or requested by property management staff.
• Perform duties to turn apartment; ensure that move-in standards are met.
• Some maintenance is required.
• Prepare locations for painting according to established guidelines and schedules.
• Maintain adequate painting supply inventory. Responsible for monitoring supply quantities.
• Responsible for maintaining the paint supply/storage area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Also responsible for properly disposing/recycling of any paint or related supplies.
• Make minor repairs to walls, doors, ceilings, etc. (as needed)
• Maintain compliance and coordination with local, state, property, and Company safety regulations.
• Maintain proper and up-to-date paint catalog and diagram records for the entire property. Maintain a visual property map with a color key where possible.
• Assist with carpentry as planned/scheduled.

Other Responsibilities:

• Maintain and safeguard confidential information.
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Remain flexible, receptive, and adaptive to change.
• Understand and apply basic principles of good housekeeping and safety.
• Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor.

Job Standards

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of painting experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, owners, managers, and other staff members, vendors, and the general public.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and access to a vehicle and the state-mandated level of auto insurance.
• Follow and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
