STV's Intern program is an important part of STV's strategic plan for growth. Our managers work closely with students to prepare and evaluate them for full time STV employment upon graduation. In addition to meaningful work on many world-class projects, we offer STV's Intern Development Program to our interns to help them network with one another, to learn some critical professional skills, and to have fun.
STV is seeking Engineering Students for our Transportation and Infrastructure division in our Owings Mills, MD office. You will join one of our teams focused on Traffic, Highway/Roadway, Water Resources, Structures, or Planning. The Intern positions will work with senior and junior designers to assist in the completion of project documents for various projects. The Transportation Group provides design services to both public agencies and other larger design projects. Major projects typically include public transit, roadway, and bridge projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work under direction of senior staff
- Preparing drawings and specifications to design alignments, drainage systems, grading, and producing technical deliverables for highway and transportation engineering projects
- Format reports and specifications
- Assist in file management of project electronic documents, including printing and scan documents as required
- Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the company's organizational structure
- Utilizes current company-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments
- Specific activities vary by assignment
- Must have access to public transportation
