What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Architect position at STV?
STV’s Boston Office has an immediate opportunity for an Architect to participate in the development of Transportation Infrastructure projects. We are looking for candidates who are truly interested in shaping the future of Massachusetts’ transportation related assets.
Our Transportation and Infrastructure division specializes in the planning, organization, and development of transportation related structures and facilities. These projects will serve to benefit the traveling public’s experience for generations to come.
This role emphasizes project design, production delivery and staff oversight. It also offers opportunities to assist with project management tasks, including the preparation of proposals and contracts. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who desires to work in a team-environment and possesses a solid technical background. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents for both new construction and renovation projects for transportation and public agency clients
- Provide Architectural design and production work from concept through construction documentation
- Coordinate with other design disciplines as applicable to each project assignment
- Work with Sr. PM’s to assist with PM related activities as needed
- Prepare and coordinate construction drawings utilizing a strong knowledge of BIM/Revit
- Conduct site and construction visits and record observations
- Develop design details and plans
Required Skills:
- Professional Degree in Architecture and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
- MA Registration is preferred.
- Proficiency with BIM Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite are required
- Strong technical knowledge to support the oversight and production of comprehensive coordinated construction documents
- Self-starter with an understanding that project success comes through teamwork.
- Previous experience with transportation related projects and public agencies a plus.
