Royal-Durham Supply is looking for a HVAC Installer for our Lenexa, KS location . In this role you will install and repair Manufactured Housing Heating and Air Conditioning systems according to the manufacturer’s specifications, ensuring all work performed is done professionally, timely and accurately according to all policies and procedures.
NO ON CALL, NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS!!!
To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort should be your top priority. You will help guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate air quality system to fulfill their specific requirements.
Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- Works safely when performing installations of HVAC equipment.
- Follows all company policies and procedures for the type of installation being performed.
- Follows directions provided by the Lead Installer related to the scope of work.
- Ensures that all work is completed according to manufacturer specification.
- Has knowledge of the refrigeration cycle including refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging.
- Wires both line and low voltage to heating cooling equipment and water heaters.
- Installs copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
- Installs sheet metal and flex duct systems in manufactured hones residential and light commercial buildings.
- Properly connects gas lines to equipment.
- Premeasures jobs to identify proper materials required for scope of work.
- Receives, verifies, and loads all equipment and materials needed for each job and maintains stock levels on truck.
- Performs the installation of household appliances as needed
- Maintains the company’s vehicle and notifies management when maintenance is required.
- Assists associates as directed by management.
- Completes all required paperwork prior to the end of the shift. Follows the national, state, and local mechanical, electrical and plumbing codes, and regulations.
- Ensures office dispatcher / supervisor is aware of job status and any delays that may occur.
- Maintains all company tools in good working order and ensures all tools are safe to use.
- Always performs work in a professional manner. Ensures customers are always treated with respect. Reports any issues or problems to manager immediately.
- Performs all readings on test instruments and understands the importance of these readings.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
- Completion of a trade program in an applicable field is preferred.
- One (1) year of experience of HVAC installation.
- Working knowledge of HVAC installation, start up, related HVAC tools and test instruments.
- Must be EPA 608 certified.
- Demonstrates strong communication, organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to work on-call and overtime hours required.
- Follow rules and regulations as described in the company Handbook.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license, an acceptable MVR, and a medical certification card in order to drive to local job sites on a daily basis in a company vehicle if required by the authority having jurisdiction
